Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day,  a day to commemorate the end of World War I and remember those who have died in all conflicts.  It is observed on November 11th, marking the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, the time the armistice was signed. The red poppies are worn as a show of support for the Armed Forces community and is a symbol of “both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future
