Additional Needs Teaching Assistant - Pastoral X 2 Posts

Hours:  6 hours 40 minutes per week - 11:55pm – 1:15pm Mon – Fri (1 hour 20 minutes per day, 6 hours 40 minutes per week)

Contract type:  Part time, temporary (with a view to making permanent)

Salary: Grade C, FTE £25,583 – pro rata approx. £4,660.53

Location:  Pear Tree Infant School, Pear Tree Street, Derby, DE23 8PN

The Governing body and Head Teacher are extremely proud of the school community and are seeking to appoint 2 Additional Needs Teaching Assistants. We seek individuals who are passionate and sensitive to the needs of working with children who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have additional needs.

We would expect that you have experience of working with children with SEND and have a genuine passion to help children flourish in our school.  Please state clearly on the application form the experience you have working with SEND children.

• Assist children with eating, dressing and hygiene, as required, whilst encouraging independence.
• Help pupils understand instructions.
