Celebrating Diversity – Our Black History Month Pledge

At Pear Tree Infant & Nursery School, we are proud to celebrate the diversity of our school community and the many cultures, identities and experiences that make us who we are.

During Black History Month, we will come together with our children and families for a special story session, with each year group sharing uplifting and inspiring stories that celebrate Black culture, heritage, history and achievement.

This is part of our wider commitment to ensuring that every child sees themselves, their families and the diverse world around them reflected positively in our school. Through stories, conversations and shared experiences, we want our children to develop curiosity, understanding and respect for others.

Different roots, one shared tree – respectful hearts, resilient minds, ambitious learners all the time.
