School Uniform
At Pear Tree Infant and Nursery School, we are committed to supporting families in every way we can, and this includes school uniform.
We encourage all children to wear a red jumper, a white polo shirt, and black bottoms (trousers or skirt). We do not require jumpers to have a school logo, as we aim to make purchasing uniform simple and economical for families. Most supermarkets stock suitable items such as red jumpers and white polo shirts.
On PE days, we ask that children wear a white T-shirt, black shorts, and black PE pumps, which are also widely available and affordable.
If any parent or carer requires support or guidance on any issue related to uniform, please speak to Mrs Suddhi via the school office.
Supermarkets carry a large quantity of school uniform items. These can be purchased at a considerably lower cost than the branded items above.

Jewellery and Earrings
For health and safety reasons, we kindly ask that children do not wear jewellery to school. The only exception is small stud earrings.
However, on PE days, children should not come to school wearing any earrings. This is to reduce the risk of injury, as young children are very active during physical activities and jewellery can easily cause harm to themselves or others.
We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all children.
Help with getting uniform
As we approach the new term at the beginning of the school year, we understand that this can be a particularly demanding time for families, especially with the added cost of purchasing school uniforms. For some, this may place extra pressure on household finances.
To help support our community, the DF4T Alliance School Uniform Drop, Swap & Pick Up initiative has been developed. In partnership with Derbion and local projects, this scheme offers access to school uniform items (where available), helping to ease some of the financial strain for families who may benefit from additional support.
If you feel this support would be helpful for you and your family, we warmly encourage you to apply by completing the attached form. Once completed, please return it via email to the address provided.
If you have any questions or would like further guidance, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
If you are not able to email request, please call the Community Hub on 01332 346266 stating that you need school uniform support and you will be transferred to the appropriate team member.
They will allocate (where possible) a uniform pack per child. This will include: 1 jumper, 2 polo shirts/shirts, 1 pair of trousers/skirt. Additional items may be available upon request. This may include PE Kits. . Please know that they will be in touch with you/client from August to conform we have their request and make arrangements to collect from Derbion.
