Cooking Club Spring 1
The children have really enjoyed this club taught by Mrs Gadsby on a Tuesday afternoon. This club teaches the children the importance of food hygiene and safety whilst using kitchen utensils. The children will get the opportunity to learn basic skills and become more independent whilst exploring a diverse range of food. Giving them the opportunity to try new recipes each week.
Week 6 - 13.02.24 - Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day
Shrove Tuesday, also called Pancake Day, is the feast day before Lent starts on Ash Wednesday.
Many countries have a carnival where pancakes are baked and prepare themselves for 40 days of fasting before the most important festival in the Christian Church: Easter.
Week 5 - 06.02.24 - Valentines Biscuits
Week 4 - 30.01.24 - Spring Rolls
At Pear Tree Infant School we are proud of our diverse cultures, as Chinese New Year is approaching the children celebrated early by making traditional spring rolls.
