School Council

School Council Statement:

"We like Pear Tree Infant School because our teachers help us

learn new things in a fun and exciting way."

At Pear Tree we are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in School Council meetings. These councils are in place so that pupils have a voice and are involved in making decisions about the school and how any issues can be resolved.

All pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all their classmates in reaching a democratic solution.  Pupils at Pear Tree know that this is their school and their thoughts and ideas matter.

School Reading Corner

We have worked very hard to create reading spaces in school that promote a love for reading.

We launched a reading corner competition in February. Each class worked hard to create and revive reading spaces to reflect the interests of the children in their class.

The School governors judged each reading corner and were extremely pleased with the efforts of all the children and teachers for making their reading corners an exciting, inviting and relaxing place to read.

Our winners –

Ash Tree!

Well done to Willow Tree Class for winning the Spring Term 1 trophy for best attendance!

Our school council pupils went for a walk around school picking up rubbish. We take pride in keeping our community clean. March 2019
